वहीं दूसरी तरफ कई वर्षों तक जीने वाला ओक का पेड़ अर्थहीनता के रूप में जाना जाता है

Because it does not do any such thing so that it can be called best.

क्योंकि यह कोई ऐसा कार्य नहीं करता जिससे यह श्रेष्ठ कहा जा सके

The poet wants to convey the message of the life of both of these that

If someone wants to be superior, then it is not necessary to live a longer life.

Because the person becomes great with his actions, not long life
